The Basics Palette
Understory watercolours are crafted in small batches from natural, earth based pigments. Each pan of paint is carefully mulled by hand with a simple formula tailored to each pigment. Paint pans are poured and dried in layers to minimize bubbles and cracks and to make sure they’re as full as possible.
The Basics - A simple set of three natural paints, and honestly some of my favorite colours I carry. Indigo is a deep, granulating blue, Arnica a bright, vibrant yellow ocher, and Venetian Red a warm iron oxide. This set is great for folks new to handmade paints/natural pigments, or just wanting something simple to start with. This set includes a halfpan of each colour, tucked into a small metal tin for storage.
