The Field Notes Set - Metal Tin
Understory watercolours are crafted in small batches from natural, earth based pigments. Each pan of paint is carefully mulled by hand with a simple formula tailored to each pigment. Paint pans are poured and dried in layers to minimize bubbles and cracks and to make sure they’re as full as possible.
The Field Notes Set - A versatile set of twelve colours designed for painting natural landscapes, botanical studies, wildlife and the quiet moments you find along the trail. This palette offers a wide range of hues from deep blues and greens to warm yellow and red ochers. These are the colours I personally carry with me on my travels and hikes.
This palette can be packed up in one of two tins; either a compact black travel tin with a white painted interior or a simpler silver tin. The black tin has two folding covers with space for mixing colours, perfect for painting on the go.
