Understory watercolours are crafted in small batches from natural, earth based pigments. Each pan of paint is carefully mulled by hand with a simple formula tailored to each pigment. Our pans are poured and dried in layers to minimize bubbles and cracks and to make sure they’re as full as possible.
Larch - A bright, yellow leaning green for layering in morning light or painting lush meadows. Made from a mix of natural indigo and yellow ochre.
