Violet Hematite
Understory watercolours are crafted in small batches from natural, earth based pigments. Each pan of paint is carefully mulled by hand with a simple formula tailored to each pigment. Our pans are poured and dried in layers to minimize bubbles and cracks and to make sure they’re as full as possible. All orders are shipped in a palm sized metal tin for easy storage and each pan is fitted with a small magnet to hold it in place.
Violet Hematite - A very moody, separating and granulating paint. The red tones will happily flow wherever there’s water, while the heavier, darker tones stay in the grooves of the paper. Great for special effects, play around with it! See how it interacts with different amounts of water.
